Lone Tree BBQ Chicken Sliders


1 ½ Quart of Water
¼ Cup of Brown Sugar
2 Tablespoons of Salt
1 Tablespoon of Liquid Smoke
2 Minced Cloves of Garlic
½ Teaspoon of Dried Thyme

2 Pounds of Boneless/Skinless Chicken Breasts
1/3 Cup of Liquid Smoke
1 ½ Cups of Lone Tree BBQ Sauce (Mild or Hot)
16 Slider Buns


Step 1: Mix brine ingredients in a large bowl
Step 2: Reserve one cup of brine for cooking chicken
Step 3: Place chicken in a bowl with remaining brine and refrigerate for 18-24 hours while turning occasionally
Step 4: Remove chicken from brine and put it in a slow cooker
Step 5: Discard brine marinade
Step 6: Add reserved one cup of brine and 1/3 cup of liquid smoke to chicken
Step 7: Cook chicken until it is tender
Step 8: Remove chicken from cooker and shred
Step 9: Stir Lone Tree BBQ sauce into chicken
Step 10: Serve on slider buns with coleslaw if desired
